I suppose that this applies to Thunderbird, Seamonkey, and other earlier Mail clients. I, normally, pay little attention to forwards which contain many To: addresses, but printing can be a pain.
My wife received one such forward, with almost as much space taken by the other addressees as the text.
Question: is there any quick way to delete the addresses, and save the resulting message as new.
I did delete the addresses one by one all the addresses, taking about five minutes, from Reply, and saved as new. The message ended up in the drafts folder, out of which I put it back in the Inbox. The edited message was half the size of the original.
Is there any simpler way to do this?

Hi Westside, yes there is a simpler way.

Click on Forward, then if you want you can highlite and delete all the cc's. You will be left with the "boxes" but at least all the space taken up is gone. Then highlite and print "selection" for the part of the message you want.

If you don't need any of the header info: Subject, to, from, etc. you can forget the deletion of the cc's and just highlite and print "selection" for the part of the message you need.

    Thanks,
since I never forward anything, unless it is for spamreports, I did not think of the way you described. It is easily done, since, all I need to do is delete the messages, and I can keep the subject and the date. Then, in Seamonkey, I save the edited e-mail as a Draft, and, just as I did my way, I put it back in the Inbox. It was not only a matter of printing, but, also of saving the e-mail.
I did not look close enough to see if I kept the Sender's address. But, deleting a bunch of addresses, surely, beats deleting them one at a time.
Had I been a "forwarder ", I would have realized how to do it (some people, also multi forward, although those addresses can be removed by using Reply.
    Thanks again.

Glad to help out.:D Sometimes it's easy to miss the obvious answers!!!

It would be nice if a future release of TB would allow selection printing of e-mails without going through the hoops!!
