My Internet Explorer has been acting up recently. Some sites, such as ebay and google do not load at all anymore. It's not my ISP because another computer in the house reaches them fine. It's not the Hosts files because I've looked in them and there's nothing regarding any sites in there. These sites don't load in any other browser either.

I've used SpySweeper and all I've found are cookies. After removal nothing happened. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

I'm using Windows XP. I believe I have System Service Pack 2, but I may be wrong.

    Good - thanks.

First thing to try is a click on start, on run, key in
    Code:
    sfc /scannow
and click OK. The system file checker may well spot damaged or missing system files and replace them.

Since you have the same issue with other browsers, the above may well not solve the problem although it certainly won't hurt anything. In that case and since there is no single app that will find & remove all spyware/malware, go to quicklinks in my signature and download, install, update, run Microsoft Antispyware and either Ad-aware or Spybot (or both). Also run an online virus scan from one of the listed sites.

Done. I've fixed any errors found after running Spybot and I'm still having the same problems. Anything else?

Thanks for your help but I've fixed the problem. I read somewhere else, can't remember where, to simply reset your modem. I shut down all power to my computer, modem, etc and waited for about five minutes. Once I booted back up and tryed it out it worked perfectly.

    Thanks again.
