EasyShare photo printer 500 problem...

Hello! Trying to get this devise [Kodak EasyShare 500 Printer] to work with Windows 2000. Does not want to work. Dell workstation [2003 era] running Windows 200 SP4.
Really wierd items showing up in devise manager prior to installation of this new devise. Check here for screen shot:

When install is attempted, the OS finds the devise, but gives a message that it failed:

This usually portends bad things, and when the printer install CD is atttempted, it goes through all the menues, but it won't work

Also, during install, instead of spawning an additional virtual drive, it spawns 4 of them:

This cannot be right and I'm stumped. Please help. Thanks!

 

I have had similar problems with the Kodak software with xp sp2
Could not figure out.
In the end I placed the software on another computer with xp sp2
Go figure ??
