    Easy software Transfer

Anyone managed to get this Vista utility to work?

I have tried, with very little success to transfer basic settings (favourites, docs, addresses, desktop etc.), from XP SP2 to VHP, via RJ45 (Cat 5) crossover net cord.

It took most of the day and 'hung' 90% into task!

    Does anything work on Vista?

    Anyone out there cracked this?

I liked it so well I created a thread. Have since done it a second time on a co-workers machine and it worked perfectly a second time.

Agreed. It should be noted that it is also VERY user-friendly. I got it to work (when I switched into my current Thinkpad) using a router, as I didn't have the crossover cable. I only aborted it when it displayed the amount of time (I had TONS to transfer) that it would have taken. 95% of the files needed to be backed up to make room anyway, so I used DVD's (a lot of 'em lol) to do this quite annoying backup.

So yes, Easy Transfer works VERY WELL. ;)
