What OS are you using? If you are using XP with Easy 5, there are a gaggle of updates necessary to get it running. I have Easy 5 Plantinum installed in my XP computer.

I had to run the basic installation on CUSTOM install, omitting Take Two. Then I had to install two update files (one each for Easy CD and DCD). The Easy CD upgrade gets installed TWICE. Really. That's the mfg instructions. Then, I have two more file updates. So that's seven file installations and reboots. Then everything works fine.

Roxio's Direct CD is a good program. Unless you really, really want to use it, I'd recommend just getting Nero. You can go to www.pricewatch.com and find Nero 6 Basic for about $5.
