!e5d141.tmp error when running sim 4

    I just started to get this message error ~e5d141.tmp when I try to start my sim4 game and at the same time my ie started acting up, when I close one window an error message comes up and they all shut down. Help!

    It is not malware, but copy-protection on your Sims CD. On the Windows 2000/XP operating system the license manager is installed as a manually started, LocalSystem service named "Macromedia Licensing Serviceâ€. An additional process related to the license manager is called "~e5d141.tmpâ€. Two instances of this process are present when a Macromedia application is running.

    I doubt this has anything to do with IE, unless the SIMS game is a download with a malware payload.
