Is there anyone out there who has been plagued recently with virus's coming through on E.Mails. I Have had at least 20 unusual e.mails on freeserve in the last week. All with attachments, some are coming through from my own address others are address's I dont know. Put one on floppy and put it on an old comp to test out and low and behold it was the netsky virus. I am getting really anoyed with it all now.
    Anyone else plagued??????
    Anything that can be done?????

Just make sure you keep your AV up to date...

Unfortunately with these virii using "E-Mail Spoofing" we can't find out who is realling sending us these e-mails. I'm getting only a couple at home.

We are getting hit with hundreds of virus infected e-mails daily at work but because we run good protection our users never see these e-mails.

    Stitch,

As dobhar mentions, keep your AV updated. That is about all you can do. I have a separate email for newsgroups and I notice when I make a new post, the viruses come flooding in. After a post, it's not unusual to get about 10 infected emails a day for a few days. That's why I set up a separate account for newsgroups. Just stay updated and delete the emails.

Thanks guys, at least i know im not alone in getting this stuf. I have thought back over the last couple of weeks and have realised that it has only been in those weeks that i have been getting the unusual e.mails. before that i dont remember getting any. Any way I do keep avg up todate and i delete anything unusual and figure if it was important they will get back to me.
    Thanks again
    Stitch
