I am trying to find the e-mail address of an old friend. I can't get answer to snail mail, or phone. We always communicated by e-mail. However, it was his wife's e-mail address. (who has since passed away) I know his name, address, age, etc. I have tried some of the look-ups like "white pages" etc. They have no trouble finding him, but now they want $7.95 and up for background check.
I don't want his criminal record, tax returns, party affiliate, etc. Just his e-mail address. Any suggestions?
    Thanks: Neil

    Kinda funny "“
Those $7.95 background checks search online public records. Are pretty though but not all municipalities n states have their public records online. So those that aren’t will be missed. Have to send someone down there then n physically search the records. NOT for $7.95.

Think that for whatever price tax returns n e-mail address wouldn’t be part of a public record "“ but who knows?

    If part of homeland security you could under authority of terrorist act;
Send name out to all banks, ISP’s , phone companies and demand detailed records of transactions. But don’t know of anyone else that can do that yet.
FBI was just accused of abusing that. They admitted to doing it. Used terrorist act to go after money laundering by a pornographer n several thousand people might be involved in other crimes.Oh well - it's the FBI.

End result: If he cancelled his wife’s account n opened a new one or even just changed e-mail address on old account don’t know of anyway you can get new address. Get a gov't contact.

    Neil,

My thought is that he may have moved - hence no response to phone or US mail. You have probably already tried all these but if not I have had some luck using the "Find People" page. http://freeality.com/ But like your experience, many of them lead to the $7.95 or $9.95 hits.

If you have his mailing address then send a letter to the neighbors.
For example, if he lives at
    John Doe
    1234 Any Street
    Anycity, Anystate 12345
    then send letters to
    Resident - Help Requested
    1233 Anystreet
    Anycity, Anystate 12345
    and
    Resident - Help Requested
    1235 Anystreet
    Anycity, Anystate 12345
and in your letter request that they knock on the door of 1234 Anystreet.
