When I use DVD X-Copy or any DVD movie duplication programs for that matter to copy copyrighted movies that are encrypted, the program first decrypts the files and then it burns into the destination dvd? My question is will the resulting movie on the new dvd be encrypted as well? In other words, if I want to make a copy of that copy, can I just use any disc duplication app like Nero and copy it?

Incidentally, is it true that DVD X-Copy is illegal in the USA?

Once you have decrypted the video, it stays decrypted. You can make a copy of a copy easily.
    Try DVDShrink and DVD Decrypter.

I used to use DVD X-COPY, but since its demise have now switched to CloneDVD. This just does a straight copy of a disc, including encryption and region coding.
