Not sure if this is a hardware or software problem.
I took all of the video files out of a camera and put them on a TDK DVD+R.
They have displayed from the disc correctly after that; now they won't in either of my drives.
In My Computer, disc shows up in drive, amount of space used and left is displayed, and green bar at top of window shows it's reading(?), but no files are in window. Tried opening with Windows Explorer and other options in auto-play, and still no luck.
Went to device manager and found both of the drives, and they show working properly. Other discs display OK in both drives.
    Corrupted disc somehow? Thanks

Hi XP dummy, Have you tried the DVD disc in another computer?
When you put the disc in your comp player - do you get an Open With Menu?
    Are you running SP3?
Have you tried it in Safe Mode?
Have you turned off Autoplay? Neil.

I don't readily have access to another computer, so I don't know if it would work in another.
I get an open with menu, but I've tried all of the options with no success.
Autoplay on or off makes no difference.
Is there an SP3 for Vista?
I haven't tried it in safe mode. Other discs play OK.
    Thanks for the suggestions.

Is your DVD player capable of playing DVD+R disks? If you filled in your system specs it would make it a lot easier to assist you with your problem.

I've always used the DVD+R discs before without issues. Thanks.

I suspect that the disk is either damaged or corrupted. The only way to be sure of this is to try it in another computer - you must have friends with computers :)

Thanks for your reply Pete. I do have friends with computers, just not able to get to one of them now.
My thoughts were that the disc somehow got damaged. Although it was in a case, and it doesn't appear damaged. Thanks again.

Did you try cleaning the disk. Do your other disks work.

I have a feeling that you do not have a backup of these video files - if you have or if the files are still in camera burn another DVD and test it out.

As I said before, other discs work. And I did try cleaning the disc.
I cleaned out my camera, and put all of the pics on a disc. I didn't really do it twice.
I do have most of them elsewhere though.
This is the first time something like this has happened to discs that I have burned.
Thanks for all of the help, and I'll mark the thread as Resolved.
It's obviously a bad disc. Thanks again.

Hi XP dummy, I was assuming you were running XP OS because you haven't filled in your System Details and your User Name? Vista only has SP2 and I would go along with Pete's suggestion. Neil.
