Okay, I decrypted a DVD, shrunk it, and it's now residing on my hard drive. Message says I can now burn it. Tried all the modules in Roxio 6, and could not get a copy playable on a non-computer DVD player. Downloaded a demo of Nero 6 (while awaiting my purchased copy), and am still in the dark as to how to burn a playable copy. Don't see any provision for finalizing, which I assume is mandatory for off-computer playing.

    Help?

See if this page is any help. It goes through all the steps in using DVD Shrink. Also some stand alone DVD players will not play all type of DVD disks. You have DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD-RW & DVD+RW. If you gohere and put in the player you have and it in in their list it will tell you what type of DVD disks will work on it.

    Russ:

    Found my answer--DVD Cloner.

Both Roxio and Nero make backups (which until somebody convinces me othewise) are limited to computer DVD drives. Clones, on the other hand, are exact duplicates, rather than mere file copies, and will play on home DVD players. This is far too technical for me to explain
