dvd record not appending

am using sonic mydvd sft to record on a dvd+r media. media had some useage before and now when i try to add to that dvd it keeps telling me to insert a blank or appendable media. went through all the settings and there is nothing that would not allow to add to the dvd. put a cdr in with data and it appended just fine. only the dvd media giving me hard time. tried on another machine with different software and drive and get same results there also.

any idea why i cant add to these dvds.

RecordNow > Tools > Options > Wizard > DVD

found what your pointing to and honestly i cant remember if the correct one was set when i did the burn. it is now set to use disk in more than one recording. so i will try that and see what happens.
