Dvd+r, Dvd-r

My DVD drive is +R and I am unable to make a successful copy of a DVD made on a -R recorder. I am using Sonic Record Now software. Everything copies and is on the DVD, but it will not play.

The original is made on the fly with input being from two digital video cameras.

Does anyone have any suggestions for me to try?

The +R machine (the replay one?) should replay (read) -R discs as well. Most do.
Does the -R recording play OK on another machine (other than the +R?) If so then the +R obviously doesn't replay -R discs, or is faulty. Have you checked for a firmware update that may address a known compatibility issue?

I gather the +R machine is on the PC? If it were a standalone player, and you could change the region code to say region 0 (all regions), this may allow it play -R disks. This worked for my Voxon standalone player that wouldn't replay +R till I set the region from 4 (Australia/South America) to region 0. Many standalone players can have the region changed usually via a bunch of commands on the remote control. Sometimes this ability is not documented in the manual, and you need to do an Internet search for instructions. Mine was documented, but I've had to search for instructions for some brands.
