My DVD Drive was working fine but all of a sudden has stopped!

I have reinstalled a decoder and the the only other thing I could think for was DirectX 9b so I looked on the net and found a patch, installed it but still no luck.

From the information I've gathered most people who are having problems put the DVD in and then get an error saying the decoder isn't installed. Well I can't see it in CyberLink DVD, Windows Media Player or My Computer yet it manages to play and even burn all other media fine.

    Any ideas coz I'm stumped.

Hi Gary: Can you see the DVD drive in Device Manager? I think that if you can, you might want to uninstall it and reboot, let Windows find and reinstall it. Don't know if that will work, but I think it is worth a try.
