This is something that I have never heard of before, let alone seen. The Dial-up netowrking on my father's laptop won't admit when it's been disconnected. You can double-click the 2 computers by the clock, and say disconnect, or you can simply right-click and say disconnect. Yet the PC still thinks it's connected. We even tried removing the phone line, and the stupid thing still won't admit that it's no longer on-line. I'm not sure if it actually disconnects on not, as we unplugged the phone line before lifting the reciever, and haven't actually checked where the problem is (not connecting, or not acknowldging disconnection). Anyone heard of anything similar, and if so, how'd you fix it?
