    Daft question :

Windows Server 2003 support 1-2 Processors

Enterprise needed for more than that

However - recently saw a server with dual Xeon processors that, because of hyperthreading, saw it as 4 CPUs and therefore BSOD

Does this mean that you really need Enterprise for dual Xeon boxes or was it coincidence ?

Basically I'm asking does anyone have a dual Xeon DP hyperthreading box running Windows server standard ?

    Ta in advance

PS Sorry I've not been very active to help people out recently, BAD time at work !

Server 2003, standard edition, supports 4 processors.

The only one that supports only two is the web server OS.

    Newt,

I've just read the Microsoft site (crazy idea I know) and it confirms what you say

I assumed prior knowledge of NT4 and 2K would apply....

As someone once said "Never ASSUME anything as it makes an ASS out of U and ME "

Feeling suitably stupid I'll slope of graciously............
