Resolved dual operating system

    hi everyone im running a 64bit windows7 home premium,is it possible to install a copy of xp on the same hdd or do i need a 2nd hdd and install it on that,if so how do i switch between the two operating systems will i have to go to the boot menu every time i turn on my pc or physically disconnect the drive any help please?

    IMO you can't dual boot a lower version when a higher version of Windows is already installed. You could do it the other way round, install XP first & then Win 7.

    You can install 2nd hdd & then install XP on that drive, but you have to always go thru the boot menu to switch the hard disks.

    thanks lads for your help i,ll try it out next weekend no doubt i,ll wreck my pc in the process but that,s what this site is for right
