So it appears my HD on my main computer is finally dying--after nine years, not unexpected. Two days ago, the machine blue screened and re booting it just blue screens while windows is loading at the splash screen. Started with 8Es, 7Fs, D1s, 44s etc. Couldnt get into safe mode etc etc

But here's the thing: I have an up to date system image and I was thinking maybe put a 1 terabyte drive in and partition half the drive to Win 10 and then put my Win 7 image on the other half. I was thinking about an SSD drive but realistically with the motherboard also being old I dont want to invest much more money on this puppy. The Win 7 image has all my Office 2010 programs also

    Anybody tried this?

    Thanks

Ouch!! It wasn't the HD. It was a RAM stick!!
