Currently using a "sicK' vista 32 and MSFT has been helping me resolve the problems. Will soon have a DVD with 32/64 Vista.

Question: Can I clean/reformat the "D" partition, which currently has the 3 year old recovery copy from manufacturer, and install vista 64 on the "D" partition. The processor is a quad and I know it can handle 64 bit. If this CAN be done I'll slowly move everything over to the 64 version and then install win 7 64 bit.

Thanks for any and all answers!

It should work - but is borderline Not Legal since your Vista wasn't a 2 for 1 sale.
