    Hello All
I desperately needed a new computer and chose a Dell system, but they only offer XP for an Operating system. I do a lot of flight simming and some of the programs associated with that will not work with XP. So I'm told that a solution is partitioning my HD into two drives, one run by 98se and the other XP. There are two programs in particular that come up the most in discussions about partitioning HD's, Partition Magic and System Commander 7. I guess I'm a bit leary about attempting this so I was wondering if anyone could put my mind at ease and tell me if this kind of thing is worthwhile attempting, and if these programs are worth their while and actually make this process easy to do. Or, should I just wait until everything catches up with XP, lol. Below is what I ordered from Dell. I appreciate your input and comments, thank you.

    1 220-4882 Dimension 4400,Pentium 4 Processor at 1.6GHz
    1 311-1282 256MB DDR SDRAM at 266MHz
1 310-2753 Dell Enhanced Quiet Key Keyboard
    1 320-7897 19 in (17.9 in viewable, .24-.25AG) P992,FD Trinitron Monitor
    1 320-0252 64MB DDR NVIDIA GeForce3 TI 200 Graphics Card with DVI
    1 340-3588 40GB ATA-100 7200 RPM
    1 340-1927 3.5in Floppy Drive
    1 420-3079 Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition,English
1 313-7222 Dell Application Back-up CD, Factory Install
    1 313-3303 16X/10X/40X CD-RW Drive

    Welcome to WindowsBBS. :)

Either Partition Magic or System Commander will help you get the job done. System Commander, if you choose to use it, offers some nice options not available with Partition Magic. HTH. :)
