I installed XP over 2000 recently and I didn't see an option to select a dual boot with 2000. When I finished, 2000 was gone.

Is there a way to dual-boot 2000 with XP?

The answer to your question is Yes, but each OS most be installed on its own volume. For further explanation and directions on how to accomplish this in XP click on Start, Help & Support and in the Search box type the words Dual Boot and then click on the Right Arrow button to start the search.

When the search is completed you should see a box near the bottom of the screen that says "Full-Text Search Matches" followed by a number, click on this to open. One of the search matches should be entitled "Installing more than one operating system on your computer" click on this selection to read more on this issue.

    Hope this helps. :)

Well, thanks; but, I assume you are writing about an XP Help file. You see, I want to install XP as a third OS and keep also my '98 and 2000 as well. I guess I need to know how to do this before I install XP.

My apologies, from reading our post I understood you to say that you had installed XP over 2000 and when you were finished 2000 was gone. I took this to mean that your OS was now XP.

At any rate, I think the answer to your question can be found in my reply to Larkin entitled "One drive-NTFS/XP & FAT32/w98se?" in this same area of the BBS.

    Hope this helps. :)

Oops! I guess that is exactly what it looked like. I should have said that I installed it and then removed it. I'll look at the link.

I intend to attempt another installation within the next few days.
