I have my trusty basic Hauppauge WIN PVR-150 PCI card and want to hook up to a Zenith DTT901 DTV converter that I already own.

I was wondering.. the converter only has RF and composite video ouputs. The TV Card has those inputs, as well as S-Video. There are cables that are composite out and S-Video in. Would that actually provide a visible benefit over composite out- composite in (since it starting out as composite out anyway)?

    Thanks, Lar

From my reading I think you could expect better performance from S-Video, but it could be effected by many factors. Have you tested the adapters together? If you can set it up with composite, test it, then maybe cross your fingers S-Video will improve the system. I wouldn't spend much money on the hope that it would work.

You have specific adapters that I don't think we will be familiar with. You can do websearches for "composite versus S-Video" and hope your setup will follow the "norm ".

If nothing else, your research can only improve your experience level Lar ;)
