I have heard that a problem with having DSL and other high speed internet connections is that the connection has a tendency to dial long distance phone numbers which of course you get billed for. At first I thought this was bull until my wife was talking to our ISP and the lady said DSL is great except that when left on all the time it has a tendency to dial long distance phone numbers. I realize IF it is true I would think that the phone company would eat the cost if we prove our innocence, but to me this is quite a hassle. We still have dial-up and would like to switch to DSL but with this new info I am not sure if it is worth the hassle.

If there is a solution, enlighten me.

    Later. Pepse.
