dsl connection fails

    my neighbors computer has dsl from Qwest and they spent 2 hours today trying to figure out why he cannot connect to the internet.

    I took a look and tried, as they did, resetting the modem, it didn't help.

    any thoughts?

    Hi,

    The first step would be to check that the DSL router is configured correctly - ie: Correct username / password as well as any other settings which might be required by the line provider.

    You might also find that either the router or the line could be faulty, so it might be a good idea to get both checked out.
