Driver Update Utility?

    I was wondering if there are any free driver update utility programs out there.
    I tried a few that say free, and they scan free, but if you want to update, you need to pay. Windows update doesn't find drivers out of date, yet all of these free scans show between 14 - 16 drivers out of date.

    Is updating drivers regularly a good thing? Should I pay 30+ dollars for one of these programs?

    Drivers should be left alone, unless there is something wrong with one.
    Surely, updating drivers in bunches is asking for a disaster.

    About the only driver that might need updating from time to time is the video card drivers.
