    Hello all,

I just formatted my pc and reinstalled Win Xp. Everything is fine except that I am missing the drivers for my sound card. When I go to system/hardware/device manager, I see the audio controller with an exclamation mark on it...which means that the driver is not installed. I right click on it and try to update driver but it says "cannot install hardware ". Is there any other way I can install the drivers ? The problem is that I dont know the model of my sound card...

    Thanx in advance

If the sound card came with your computer, the drivers should be on the CD with the chipset drivers on it (probably called Drivers and Utilities). Otherwise, go to Start > Run > dxdiag > Sound. Google the device name to find the manufacturers site, and download the latest driver from there.
