    Hi

I map one of the shared drive in my LAN and opted for the auto reconnect upon boot-up on my PC.

However, this shared drive requires a password. I need to key in this password each time I reboot/switch-on my PC.

Is there anyway to set my Win98 to store this password?

    Thanks for any tips!

Is this win9x to win9x or win9x to 2K or XP?

Is this an office LAN or home?

    If a home office?

On the 98 network properties make sure Client for Microsoft networks is installed. Set it to do a quick logon. Below this set the primary logon as "Windows logon ".

If this is a win9x to win9x then change the windows password to match what the shared resource needs. This is the logon password.

If connecting to 2k or xp then you will need to add a user and password to the Users and Groups. Reqiures a password? Or you could simply log the 98 on using the exact same user name and password as the computer with the shared drive.

Then log off the 98 and back on with this exact username password.
