Someone has been working on a friends computer before me and has the drive letter designations all messed up.

The computer has 4 card slots which are listed as Drive C:, D:, E: and F:.

The system (Windows) drive is Drive H:

Can I safely change the drive letters so that C: is the system (Windows) drive?

    Thanks

Windows won't allow you to change the system volume drive letter due to the millions of entries in the registry. Odds are the system will run fine like it is. Only other choice is to remove the card reader and do a fresh install of the OS.

That's what I thought. Only issue / pain is directing installation programs to H instead of C

    Thanks Steve
