Hi mojo13. A little more information would help to track down the problem. Does Windows Explorer crash or freeze up randomly?

Did you look in Event Viewer for any more details about your error message?

    Does Windows Explorer function normally?

It normally crashes at boot up and Dr Watson comes up and freezes. Sometimes a reboot is required to continue using the machine.

No, I have not looked in event viewer since I had this log to try and decipher

Ok take a look at the article and see if following the troubleshooting steps solves the problem.

Does the computer have SP3 installed?

Looking at event viewer the one that stuck out was explorer.exe module ws2_32.dll 5.1.2600.5512

    fault address 0x00006a55

    another instance; fault address 0x71ab6a55

I have disabled Dr. Watson to keep the computers from freezing up and requiring multiple restarts

Dr. Watson shouldn't be causing Windows Explorer to freeze up. Did you try disabling all non microsoft shell extensions from the article that I linked to? Did it make any difference?

    There were no shell extensions

Dr Watson was indeed freezing up. Now when the explorer error comes up they just click out of it and move on; before a reboot was required.

Not really, I still have explorer.exe issues. Disabling Dr Watson just made it not freeze up and become inoperable.

Does Windows Explorer function normally in Safe mode?

Also do you have Service Pack 3 installed?

See if it runs normally in Safe Mode. If it does then a 3rd party driver or a program that is starting up with Windows is causing your Windows Explorer issues.

I believe my issue may be the fact that this is the 3rd image on the computers and the people before me neglected to format the drive before imaging. Viruses were found in both Windows.old and Windows.old.000.

I am preparing a new image and will apply it properly

A virus could definitely cause your Windows Explorer issues to occurr. Let me know if applying the new image solves the problem.
