Hi all , I m new here at this forum.

I wonder if someone could tell me where to download the entire setupfiles for IE6/win98 version, and not just the executable. I need to get it for a client, and it would take forever to download it from his location.
    Any help would be appreciated

    Thanks:cool:

    Hi Sorcer
It's a little more involved than just simply downloading....so I'll send you this link instead. Will that do?

Just run IEsetup as usual. Choose the Advanced option. You will find that you can download the files for later setup.
You may be lucky and find all those files in the Windows Update Setup folder, but if they are not complete, you can download the rest into that folder and save some time by copying just that folder. Setup will automatically download only the files that are missing.

    Sandi Hardmeier's Page http://www.mvps.org/inetexplorer/answers4.htm#download_only
has a link to http://www.broomeman.com/support/wsiedown.html "how to download internet explorer 6 "
that should have the information you need.

I also found the following with a groups.google. com search ":

Run the setup file while online, then select "Minimal or Custom
Install ", click Advanced, select "Download Only ".

If you run Win2K or WinXP, you need to save the first setup file to your
disk, then run it from a command line with switches, as described in
    detail here:
