it is taking forever to download itunes on my friends computer, they have dial up because of their area where they live, no options :(

Can I burn it to a CD from my puter and install it on theirs that way? Its the only thing I can come up with. Its not a laptop so I cant really bring it here. Will this idea work and if so, what files do I need to burn? Any other suggestions? Thanks. They have XP.

Hi missy77...Glad it finally worked out for you...8 hours...Wow!

For future...Yes, you can download most "Executable" files, like iTUnes, and burn it to a CD-R(W) or DVD-R(W) then copy the file from the Disc to your friends HDD (Hard Disk Drive) then install the program.

Flash drives provide another solution for transporting file(s)/program(s). All it requires is a drag and drop process (from your HDD to flash drive). They are available on-line / B&M very reasonable priced. I recently picked up a 16GB for $19.99 shipped / no rebate. Your friend with dial-up will always be in the need for files / updates. Suggest to him/her to purchase a flash drive (at least 4GB) which you can use / transport programs / updates in a timely fashion. It beats CD/DVD burning any day of the week.
