In XP Pro, my when downloading in the past, my downloads would stay in a list until I removed them, when finishing downloading the download window would stay open and I could click on the downloaded file to access it.

My lovely wife fooled around with my computer and now all I get is a download window that closes as soon as the down load is finished and he have to go to Explorer to access the file.

How do I change the setup back to the way it used to be?

    TIA

GypsyJon - Welcome to the Board :)
It sounds like you were using a download manager - I have not seen that facility in XP Pro.

If that is the case re-install the download manager.

I also use XP and IE7 to download and I get a Progress window that tells me what I am downloading and where it is going to be. On the bottom of that window is a check box that if checked will close the window. Uncheck it and it should stay open.
    Hope this helps
