Download of some files stops at 99%

    Weirdest thing ever - some of the files I try to download stops at 99%.
    This didnt happen all this time with the same setup.

    I was using FlashGet before, thought it was causing the problem, uninstalled it.
    Im now using FreeDownloadManager which is pretty decent.
    But even here, download of some files just dont finish the remaining KBs.

    Apache 2.2.8 (apache_2.2.8-win32-x86-openssl-0.9.8g.msi) on the other hand stopped at 94% - I even added a whole of mirrors to use.
    I had it restart the download, went on smoothly till 94% yet again - stopped.

    Its not the download manager - I tried installing Windows Live services - it has to download from the net & install. Before this 99%-download issue, it got installed fine. Now, on downloading 99%, after a long time, it gets canceled. I thought this was the installation initialization that failed and hence didnt reach 100%. But that isnt it.

    Any idea what might be wrong ?

    I've never used a download manager..Aren't they suppost to be able to "resume" and pickup where they leftoff?

    At 99% the download is complete and the downloaded file is copied from the temporary download location to the location you specified.

    I suggest you clear out your Temporary Internet files and see if that resolves the problem.

    See if the same problem exists with Firefox.
