Hi, My sister inlaw has a licenced copy of Windows XP on her Desktop PC, which the HD has died on, it did not come with a disc,
Can she download a new Windows XP OS to the new drive using her licence number,
She rang the E machine maker and they told her she can only get a 60 trial ????
I thought that once I bought the OS I was entitled to a copy for ever.
    Any suggestions
    Thanks Des.

That's the way it's suppost to be... She can borrow a cd from someone as long as its an OEM and the same verrsion of Home or Pro.
