I don't know if I am in the right forum but I use msn. Sometimes when I boot up my computer I get a solid black box (say messenger not sign in), I also I the two persons that represent msn messenger in the toolbar. Do I have two msn messenger running on my computer, and if so where do I go to check and delete one of them.

    Hi pbrooks.

This is the correct section but it looks like no one who is familiar with the program has taken a look yet. Hopefully you'll get an answer soon.

What operating system are you running?

Most likely you have both the default Windows messenger and MSN Messenger starting up when you logon. Double click the taskbar icon to open the Messenger window. Click tools on the menu bar and then options. Click the Preferences tab in Windows Messenger, General tab in MSN, and uncheck Run when Windows starts. In Windows Messenger, also uncheck Allow to run in background. Click OK and close. They shouldn't startup on your next bootup.
