DoScan.exe - Application Error

    I have a pc that is a windows 2000 Pro. I've installed Symantec CLient Security v 3.0.
    When the system powers up I get a "DoScan.exe - Application Error" window. which states.
    The instruction at "0x77f856af" referenced memory at '0x00000000'. The memory could not be written. Click OK to terminate the program.


    I'm having trouble finding a solution on Symantec's website.

    any thoughts.
