    I am currently facing the problem. Need solution very urgently....

    Background:

    HQ - Windows 2003 OS, Terminal Server, DOS Accounting Application
    Client - PC, Printer

    ==========================
    DOS application only recognise the LPT port printing, and it doesn't recognise the TS printing. So client User need to do the print job locally, i configure to share the printer under terminal session and map it to

    " net use lpt1 \\servername\printername /persistent:yes "

    So, it work perfectly.

    Now, the problem is by using this setting, it will only work for few days to few weeks only, it will disappear the printer sharing and the mapping for no reason. Any of you have the similar problem, or please provide me some advise. OR please provide me some other alternate solution for DOS printing under terminal server environement.

    Thank you Very Much

    Have you tried adding this to a logon/connection script?

    Yes, the script has been either run from login script ot with permanent configure.

    So, in order to run the command above show, the local terminal session printer must share out, right? so, after share out, then we able to do the LPT port mapping.

    But what i mean is the shared printer will un-share itself after few weeks time or longer..or the mapping command will not work after login.

    For this problem has been annoyed me for few month, every 2-4weeks i have re-do the same step...in order to get dos application print correctly..
