I have two computers connected through a Dlink router and have everything working fine between my Linux and windows PCs.

NOW the caveat, I have an old DOS game that I want to play between two PCs BUT it has to run in DOS (NOT windows) and needs to have the two PCs connected via LAN. For NIC cards, I have an Acer-ALN-320 on one PC, and a Dlink-DFE530TX on the other. I can boot to both PCs via floppy, but that's where I'm lost.

How do I setup the LAN in DOS? How do I install the TCPIP protocol? Does it have to be another protocol? How do I get DOS to talk to the router to get the IPs via DHCP?
Is any of this even possible? If so, how, and how do I know when the two PCs are actually seeing/talking to each other (and/or the router).

    Thx for any help!
