i have XP Pro installed, and in the Documents and Settings folder, there are many different folders (all users, default user, owner, All Users.WINDOWS,...). i am the ONLY user on my computer, and i dont like how when i install software, sometimes the icons are put into all users/start menu and sometimes owner/start menu. it is a pain in the *ss to cut and paste all the programs from one folder into the only one i use: owner. ( because the start menu shows both the shortcuts in owner/startmenu and all users/start menu... and i like to be organized.) sometimes when i make changes to the start menu a box comes up "this change will affect all users of this computer ". is there ANY way to rid documents and settings of all other user folders besides ONE user folder that holds all the settings i use? if anyone needs clarification to what i am talking about, please respond, as i have been looking all over the web for a solution to this problem. thanks in advance

hah well ive always been taught never to give up, and not to take no for an answer.. so i have been messing with the registry and the subdirectories in documents and folders. after some playing around (After a full system backup, of course).. i hvae discovered many things about how xp uses users in the registry. i have also eliminated all other users besides myself. all of my settings are in documents and settings, (no all user, default user, current user folders to get confused with.) if anyone is interested in what i have done, or has any comments suggestions or questions, please post below. thanks
