From Spanner , LDC (over 50's) forum. Lady ( 78) came in last Tuesday with a new PC and monitor for us to show her how to set it up, I asked if she has the keyboard and mouse to go with it, next day she brought in an electric portable typwriter but was not sure about a mouse. I wish I had a day job to give up.

:D That reminds me of someone many years ago asking me to help set up their computer...

Bear in mind these were the days that home computers were fairly new. Anyway after speaking for a few minutes on the phone I suggested she connect the cable direct to her TV (monitors were unheard of). She told me she didn't know how to so I went along to connect it up for her.

Next day arrived at her home and she had an original genuine IBM keyboard trying to persuade her that this keyboard could not operate as a computer was a nightmare. (I believe I changed my telephone number the next week :))
