    Hi all,

I have been frustrated with this for years and never really taken the time to find out why, so now I want to find out why and hopefully how to fix without logging out and in to Windows again!

This is really a domain related issue more than a Windows 7 issue, but I thought it suited this forum better due to the solution being required on the PC.

I frequently VPN to remote sites using a variety of VPN clients. After disconnection from the remote site using some VPN clients, I can no longer access local domain resources. Network connectivity is not an issue, but accessing the resource on the domain is, i.e mapped drives.
If I log out and in again things start working again.

    Does anyone have any thoughts?

ps I had the same issue with XP.

How do you access the mapped drives?

I've seen this before, the best solution I've come across is to use the FQDN for the server when setting up the mapping.
