Does W2K come Pro or standard?

I've got a new computer (Dell) coming soon loaded with "Windows 2000 SP2, NTFS, CD" according to the literature sent to me by my company. I currently use XP on my desktop, Win98se on my Dell at home, and my wife's business computer (the one that will get the new replacement) is an old pentium 133 with Win95.

The best thing I like about XP is the system restore feature. I can get the same thing with GoBack (from other threads, GoBack is better). The GoBack site says it works with Win2000professional. Does that Win2K come 2 ways or is what's coming in the new computer going to work with GoBack just fine?

Can't figure out how or why my company would buy 15,000 new Dell machines and get an older OS, but then there's a lot I can't figure out about why my company does things.

 

Thanks, Arie. Guess we must be getting the 'pro' which means I can use GoBack with it. And that seems reasonable on the 'why' too.

Of course, I'm sure the answers I wanted could've been mined out of the "pre-hacked" bbs, and I am sure glad you got this back going again. Don't suppose you've had any luck tracing the dirtbag down, have you? Putting a name/location on this bbs would fix him, as you have loyal members EVERYWHERE.
