It used to be in XP that if you wanted to delete a whole lot of stuff and bypass the Recycle Bin, you could just highlight it and then Shift+Delete would get rid of it permanently.

Now with Win7 I don't think that works.

Is there a correct way to accomplish this in Win7?

Highlight the folders you want to delete right click on the list hold the shift key down then click on Delete in the Context menu. I just tried it and it worked.

Shift+Delete works in TB email - I use it all the time to Delete emails.
I'm using W8.1 on this HDD so I can't confirm what lj50 has advised for you on W7 but I think it will be your answer. Neil.

I don't know what I was doing before but what you describe works perfectly.
It was deleting before but I wasn't getting the words "permanently delete ".

    Thanks again.
