I am used to the IE window under Secutity for entering links for Trusted Sites which facilitates opening certain sites.

    Does FF have something similar?

Nothing in firefox is directly equivalent to the IE trusted site.

When you open a site, you can right click the page, select View Page Info
    and then click Permissions.

The choices you make there may make that site work better for you.

When "Use Default" is checked, the grayed out area shows the default choice.
