Do I need to install MS .netframework 1.1 patch?

Hi All,
Can someone fill me in on whether I need to install the MS .netframework 1.1 patch on my PC?...I have read up on the article, but I am still confused about whether I need it or not.

I have W98se, IE6.

That's my trouble...I'm not sure if I need it or not.

I have MS Money installed, and I have (2) MS Passport ID's...I guess it would be a good question for MS.

 

There was a discussion abou the .net framework and the related software on the boards some time ago. Search the forums. I'll look later on to and post back if I find it. I haven't had a need for it yet.

Unless you've installed a program that requires the .net framework you don't have to install it. If it's a downloaded program they'll usually tell you on the webpage that it's required. If it's a program on a cd bought in a store, it'll more than likely have it on the cd and be installed along with the program. Rest assured that if you install a program that requires it and you don't have it, it'll let you know about it. Either when you install it or when you try to run the program.

 

I have MS Money installed, plus I have (2) .net Passport ID's...I wrote MS about this, and they talked like I didn't have a need for it ....So I guess I'll not worry about it.
