I have the Service Pack 2 CD staring at me on my desk, but the question is do I need to update?

I stopped running IE and am happy with Firefox. I stopped using Outlook years ago. I have Norton Internet Security Professional as my firewall and virus protection.

Is there any gain to installing the update and is it worth the nightmare that always seems to accompany anything new from Microsoft? Thanks.

Pleae follow Posting Rules # 3 - Meaningful Subject - I have edited your thread.

The basic answer to your question is - no, providing you keep your SP 1 install as fully patched as possible and for as long as possible. The inference here is that sooner or later SP 2 will be required to apply further updates.
