This may seem like a simple question, but for a non-microsoft expert, it isn't.

I have a server that is running active directory, DNS and IIS. I need to be able to get to one of my websites that is hosted locally (available to the WWW), but cannot.

What changes do I need to make in DNS?

    Let's call the website www.tsite.com

    Thanks

No need to create forward lookup zone because that zone already exists.
It is needed in the AD.
You must have that zone if you have one AD structure.
You only need to create the record on that zone

Go to DNS console open the forward lookup zone of your domain and enter a new ALIAS record.

I'd also suggest you look at the DNS settings for the client PC that are viewing the local web site. If they are configured with DNS pointing at your ISP's DNS (or another DNS server on the internet) they won't be able to resolve the name of the local website - and therefore won't be able to access it.

The Client PCs need to be configured with DNS pointing at the local AD server.
