I have a BIND DNS Server v9.5.0 running on my local Windows 7 Ultimate workstation; no problems but in the Event Viewer I see een error:

"the 'files' limit (2048) is less than FD_SETSIZE (16384), increase 'files' in named.conf or recompile with a smaller FD_SETSIZE. "

Can someone tell me what it exabtly means and how I can prevent this error?

    You're right.
I apologize for this, but this forum has helped me so many times already that it has become almost second nature to ask it for help.
I'll be more carefull in the future.
In the meantime I have found the same solution: it is a bug in the BIND Windows version that can be ignored.
