I have seen a number of dire warnings regarding the DNS Changer that will supposedly stop internet access for infiected computers in July of this year. I have checked my computer and it was found to be clean. http://www.dcwg.org/

My questions - (1) Should I continue to periodically check my computer until the July deadline or is one check now sufficient? (2) Is or will this malware be extremely harmful to one's computer.

    No harm in checking periodically.

This particular malware changes the DNS servers to its own DNS servers. There has been no evidence till now that it does anything else, but that can change. So be on your guard.
