    Welcome to WindowsBBS RobertDavid :)

I don't see any sign of it. Download RegSearch.zip and extract the contents of the zip file to it's own folder.
Open and double-click the icon for RegSearch.exe to launch the program.
Enter DMVLite in the top window and click "OK ".
After completion Notepad will be opened with all the found instances. Please post that log.

Hi Dave. I did what you said and found these:

    REGEDIT4

; Registry Search by Bobbi Flekman
    ; Version: 1.0.1.0

; Results at 2/6/2005 4:27:06 PM for strings:
    ; 'dmvlite'
    ; Strings excluded from search:
    ; (None)
    ; Search in:
; Registry Keys Registry Values Registry Data
    ; HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE HKEY_USERS

I would like to also say that I ran SpySubtract after I posted, based upon a recommendaiton from someone else (maybe you) who responded to another members with DMVLite problem and it found several keystrokes.
What do I do to get rid of these? Thanks. Rob

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Management\ARPCache\DMVLite]

    [HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-329068152-2000478354-839522115-1003\Software\Microsoft\Search Assistant\ACMru\5603]
    "001 "= "dmvlite "

    [HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-329068152-2000478354-839522115-1003\Software\Microsoft\Search Assistant\ACMru\5604]

Scan again with HijackThis, place a check next to the following entries, close all other windows and click fix.

R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing
    O9 - Extra button: (no name) - {CD67F990-D8E9-11d2-98FE-00C0F0318AFE} - (no file)

If you are comfortable with regedit, delete the DMVLite key under the HKLM\\ARPCache. If not, let me know and I will make a file for you to merge that will remove it. The two HKUsers entries are from using the XP search companion to look for DMVLite on your system. MostRecentlyUsed entries that will have no effect on your system.

Since you noted that DMVLite is listed in add/remove, I am surprized that more entries weren't found. Please download the List Installed Programs script from here, run it and let me know if DMVLite is listed.

Are you having any other problems due to DMVLite?

Also meant to say that Ad-aware run in full scan mode should find those MRU's and allow you to remove them, as well as many others. ;)
